May 30

Our little Princess has 2 teeth! Her Aunt Veronica found the first one May 5, then we discovered the second one later that week. Both are on the bottom, you can see them in her picture. Kaitlyn has been a trooper during the time it’s taking them to fully come in. She spits her tongue out more often now, and likes to chew on everything, but we of course think it’s cute. Kaitlyn has also started rolling over from her back to her belly. We’ve been working on this for a while, and one night while we were playing on Mima & Papito’s floor, she decided to roll over. She must have done it over 15 times that night! She is still doing well eating solids. I think we’re about ready to move up to the next stage. She’s becoming more vocal now, making sounds similar to ah-goo, and helping her Papito call Trevor (Veronica’s Jack Russel) in from outside. Kaitlyn has also discovered that she can make a coughing sound. It worried us at first, but we discovered Wednesday night that she thought it was funny. Speaking of funny, Kaitlyn is very difficult to get to laugh. I have heard her really giggle only once, and it was at our neighbor’s dog barking. She laughs, but that adorable little baby giggle is tough to get out of her. Swimming classes are continuing to go well. Kaitlyn is definitely a water baby! You can see pictures of her at Swim Class on my Flickr account. Sean & I are doing well, for those of you wondering. We are just enjoying every possible moment we can with our beautiful baby girl.

May 14

Our beautiful Kaitlyn has been quite busy these past couple of weeks. We had her Baptism May 4, and it was beautiful. The next day, Monday, May 5th, her Aunt Veronica discovered Kaitlyn’s 1st tooth. That’s right, our little Princess is starting to get teeth. It is one of the bottom center ones (her left one), and it is sharp. She’s been pretty pleasant considering she’s teething, but it’s probably the calm before the storm. Kaitlyn has also started eating stage 1 baby food. She’s been doing a fantastic job with all of the different fruits and vegetables. The only one she hasn’t really taken to is Peas and I can’t say I blame her, peas aren’t one of my favorites either. She’s been enjoying bananas, pears, apples, sweet potatoes, and carrots. We also had our 1st swim lesson this past Saturday at our local YMCA. The class is called ‘Starfish’ and it’s for babies 6 months to 3 years. I think she was a little overwhelmed at first with all of the noise and new people, but we both had a lot of fun. Daddy watched from the sidelines and video taped it for everyone. We’ll try to get a picture this Saturday to share.
