So the big news is the teeth. She had two on the bottom come in a couple of months ago, and then nothing. But a week ago, we noticed that she now has FIVE more coming in all at once. Which explains why she has been so fussy at night.
She is getting three at the top, and two more on the bottom. Pretty crazy, but pretty exciting as well. She really doesn’t complain that much if she is in any pain except at night. And even then we have only had maybe two times where she just got miserable and we (and by we, I mean Tori) had to stay up with her. And that was only for maybe 30 minutes or so.
I certainly has slowed down the “have her sleep in her bed and not ours” plan, but such is life. I know, some of you will think us horrible for letting her sleep with us, and Lord knows I think we are in for a world of hurt if we don’t get her moved in to her crib soon. But, it really hasn’t been all that bad. The three of us have learned to give each other space, with Kaitlyn taking up the majority of our King-size bed (of course).
She is also starting to really be able to pull herself up. She can’t quite make it to her feet without assistance, but she can get to the knees pretty easily. And if you help her up to her feet, she is pretty good with hanging on to something for a little bit on her own.
Crawling is still non-existent for the most part. I have only seen her get on her hands and knees maybe once or twice, but that usually only lasts for a moment. She has figured out how to get pretty much anywhere she wants by rolling or scooting backwards. Pretty creative for a ten month old (at least, as her dad, I like to think so).
Other than that, just the usual. Hair coming in normal. Eating more and more table food. “Talking” a lot more. Tori has been trying to get some tongue-consonants to come out (da or ta), but she hasn’t quite got it figured out yet. Still loves to play in the water. Still smiles all the time.
What more could you want?
